Who should attend?
Those with responsibility for, or interest in, the application of the regulations and who need a basic introduction to Regulations, Code of Practice and Guidance.

Aims
To provide delegates with an overview of the Quarries Regulations and ACoP and familiarise delegates with their content.

The content may vary according to the requirements of the delegates on a particular course may include, but not be restricted to:
• Introduction to the Legislation relevant to Quarries
• Overview of the Quarries Regulations 1999
• Health and Safety documentation
• Training and Competence
• Management Structure
• Introducing rules and schemes
• Workplace inspections
• Explosives and shot-firing
• Health surveillance
• Cooperation and Participation

Number of delegates
A minimum of 4 and maximum of 12 delegates.


Duration and delivery
This is a one-day course consisting of short lectures, discussions and group exercises. Delegates completing the course will receive the MPQC Certificate of Training.
